This policy does not cover:
- Websites, ads, or tools we build or manage for our clients. Those are covered by each client’s own privacy policy.
- Information we handle on a client’s behalf under a client contract or a Business Associate Agreement. Those agreements control how that information is used and protected. Our Trust Center explains our general approach to healthcare data security.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Resource downloads, newsletter signups, and custom playbook requests: your email address and, when you provide them, your name, organization, specialty, the resource you requested, and the page you were on.
- Strategy session requests and bookings: your name, email address, title or role, organization, number of locations, primary need, any message you write, and the meeting time and time zone you select.
- Emails and other contact: whatever you choose to include when you email us, such as press or careers inquiries, or when you talk with our team.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage information: browser type, device type, pages viewed, time on page, links and buttons clicked, the website that referred you, and approximate location based on your IP address.
- Campaign information: campaign tags in the web address you used to reach us, such as UTM parameters or ad click identifiers, so we can tell which campaigns bring visitors to our site.
- Server and security records: when you submit a form, our server records your IP address and browser type with the submission. To limit abuse, it also keeps short-lived counters tied to a one-way scrambled (“hashed”) version of your IP address.
- Cookies and similar technologies: described in the cookies section below.
Information from other sources
- Google user data: SC Ads Reporting reads Google Ads data from accounts we manage, as described in the Google user data section below.
- Business contacts: we may receive business contact details from referral partners, events, or public professional sources.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Respond to your questions and requests, and deliver the resources you ask for.
- Schedule, confirm, and hold strategy sessions.
- Send our Strategy Unfiltered newsletter and occasional business updates. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
- Understand how our website performs and improve its content and design.
- Measure our own marketing campaigns, including which ads and channels lead to inquiries.
- Protect the Services, prevent spam and abuse, and keep our systems secure.
- Comply with law, enforce our agreements, and protect our rights.
We do not use the information described in this policy to make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We also use similar tools, such as your browser’s local storage. We use CookieYes to ask for and remember your cookie choices. Analytics and advertising cookies stay off until you accept them.
| Tool or cookie | Provider | What it does | When it runs |
|---|---|---|---|
Consent preferences (cookieyes-consent) | CookieYes | Remembers your cookie choices. | Always (necessary) |
| Google Tag Manager | Loads and manages the other tools listed here. | Always | |
Google Analytics 4 (_ga cookies) | Measures visits, pages viewed, and actions such as form submissions, email clicks, and phone clicks. | Cookies only with analytics consent (see note below) | |
Google Ads conversion measurement (_gcl cookies) | Connects ad clicks to inquiries so we can measure our own ads. | Only with advertising and analytics consent | |
Campaign source (sc_utm_* cookies) | Strategy Collective | Remembers which campaign brought you to the site for 30 days. | Only with analytics or functional consent |
Resource access (sc_gated cookie) | Strategy Collective | Stores the email address you entered for 90 days so you don’t have to re-enter it for other downloads. | After you request a resource |
| Announcement preference (local storage) | Strategy Collective | Remembers that you closed a site announcement. | After you close it |
| Accessibility widget | accessiBe | Provides display and accessibility adjustments. | When the page loads |
| Embedded videos | YouTube (privacy-enhanced mode) | Plays videos inside some articles. | When you play a video |
Before you choose: we use Google Consent Mode. Until you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics does not set cookies, but Google may still receive limited, cookie-free signals, such as that a page was viewed, so we can estimate overall site traffic.
Our pages also load fonts from Google Fonts, scripts from jsDelivr and unpkg, and the Google Partner badge from Google. These providers receive your IP address and basic browser information when your browser requests those files.
Browser signals: if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of advertising cookies and of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, where the law requires it. Our website does not respond to “Do Not Track” signals, because there is no common standard for them.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some site features may not work as expected if you do.
Health information
This website is for business inquiries from healthcare organizations and the people who lead them. It is not designed to collect protected health information (PHI). Please don’t submit patient names, medical details, or other health information through our forms, scheduler, or email.
When a healthcare client gives us access to PHI as part of our work, we handle it under that client’s Business Associate Agreement and contract, not this policy.
Google user data and SC Ads Reporting
SC Ads Reporting is an internal Strategy Collective tool. It uses the Google Ads API so our team can analyze Google Ads performance for client accounts linked to our Google Ads manager account. Only Strategy Collective team members use it. It is not offered to the public.
What we access
When an authorized Strategy Collective team member connects a Google account, SC Ads Reporting reads:
- Google Ads account names and IDs for accounts linked to our manager account.
- Campaign, ad group, keyword, ad, and conversion settings, as reporting data.
- Performance data such as impressions, clicks, cost, conversions, and related metrics.
- The email address of the Google account used to authorize the connection.
SC Ads Reporting has read-only access. It only reads data. It does not create, edit, pause, or delete campaigns, budgets, ads, or any other Google Ads settings. Google’s permission screen may describe broader Google Ads access, because Google offers one permission for the Google Ads API. Our tool uses that permission only to read data.
How we use it
We use Google user data only for reporting and analysis for the clients whose Google Ads accounts Strategy Collective manages. That includes performance reports, budget pacing, campaign analysis, and recommendations for those clients.
What we don’t do
- We do not sell Google user data.
- We do not use it for advertising, including retargeting, personalized ads, or interest-based ads.
- We do not transfer it to advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers.
- We do not use it to develop, improve, or train AI or machine learning models, ours or anyone else’s.
- We do not use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
Who can see it and where it goes
Only Strategy Collective team members who work on a client’s account can view that client’s data. We share a client’s reports and analysis only with that client and the people the client authorizes. Beyond that, we transfer Google user data only when needed to run the tool securely, for security purposes such as investigating abuse, to comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with any required consent.
How we protect and keep it
We store authorization credentials securely and limit access to the team members who need it. We keep Google Ads data only as long as needed for client reporting and analysis. When a client relationship ends or access is revoked, we stop retrieving new data and delete stored Google Ads data within 90 days, unless we need to keep specific records to meet a legal or contractual obligation.
Limited Use
Strategy Collective’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How to revoke access
- Google account holders can remove SC Ads Reporting at any time through Google Account > Third-party connections.
- Clients can end our access by unlinking Strategy Collective’s manager account in Google Ads under Admin > Access and security > Managers, then selecting Remove access.
- Anyone can email us at hello@strategyco.com to ask us to disconnect an account and delete related data.
After access is revoked, SC Ads Reporting can no longer retrieve data from that account. Stored data is deleted as described above.
Learn more on the SC Ads Reporting page.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, unless the law requires or allows us to keep it longer. For example:
- Contact and form information stays in our CRM while we have an active business relationship or you remain subscribed, and for a reasonable period afterward.
- Abuse-prevention counters tied to hashed IP addresses are short-lived and refresh automatically.
- Cookies expire on the schedules described above or set by each provider.
- Google Ads data is kept as described in the Google user data section.
How we protect information
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. These include encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls limited to the people who need them, multi-factor authentication on key business systems, and keeping secret keys on our servers rather than in website code. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice, such as a notice on our website. If we change how SC Ads Reporting uses Google user data, we will update this policy and obtain any consent Google requires before using the data in a new way.
