Director of Marketing Data & Analytics
Architect secure, HIPAA-compliant tracking infrastructure and lead the analytics narrative for PE-backed healthcare platforms. Hybrid leadership role: principal architect of our marketing data stack, and the chief data storyteller translating complex marketing data into ROI-focused insight for private equity sponsors and C-suite operators.
What You’ll Own
The Director of Marketing Data & Analytics is a hybrid leadership role. First, you act as the principal architect of our marketing data analytics setup and infrastructure — designing secure, HIPAA-compliant integrations and tracking implementations. Second, you lead the advanced analysis of that data, ensuring we capture the right information and tell a clear, actionable data story to optimize multi-location healthcare marketing campaigns. You will not be building this alone — you will manage and mentor a highly capable Marketing Data Analyst who currently handles a significant portion of our day-to-day analytics infrastructure work, integrations, and GTM setups.
Key Responsibilities
- Tracking & Data Infrastructure Architecture — Design and oversee secure, HIPAA-compliant tracking implementations spanning GTM, GA4, CRM, EHR/EMR, and call tracking systems across the client portfolio.
- Analytics Storytelling — Translate fragmented dashboards into cohesive, automated narratives that deliver clear, ROI-focused insight for private equity sponsors and C-suite operators.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship — Manage and mentor an existing Marketing Data Analyst, set the architectural vision, ensure rigorous compliance, oversee execution, and handle the most complex technical escalations.
- HIPAA & Compliance Discipline — Maintain a deep, working understanding of HIPAA-compliant tracking and privacy infrastructure, including PHI segregation, consent management, and platform-specific restricted-data policies.
- AI-Integrated Workflows — Integrate AI into your analytics workflow — from anomaly detection and natural-language reporting to automated insight generation across multi-location healthcare datasets.
- Cross-Functional Partnership — Work cross-functionally with account strategists, digital marketing teams, and C-level stakeholders so that marketing data not only informs decisions but serves as a competitive advantage.
- Campaign Optimization & ROI — Drive campaign optimization and ROI for private-equity-backed healthcare clients by closing the loop between media spend and downstream patient outcomes.
- Strategic Roadmap Ownership — Own the marketing data analytics roadmap — capturing the right information, retiring legacy reporting, and ensuring every dashboard the agency produces has a clear narrative behind it.
What We’re Looking For
- 8–12+ years of marketing analytics experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or principal architect role
- Deep, hands-on expertise designing secure tracking implementations across GTM, GA4, CRM/CDP, and call-tracking platforms
- Proven track record managing analytics teams and mentoring technical data analysts
- Demonstrated fluency with HIPAA-compliant tracking and the privacy nuances of healthcare digital marketing
- Strong data storytelling skills — able to translate complex datasets into cohesive narratives for executive and PE sponsor audiences
- Adept at integrating AI into the analytics workflow (LLM-assisted reporting, anomaly detection, natural-language querying)
- Confident communicator capable of presenting strategic recommendations to clinical leaders, marketing directors, and PE operating partners
- Multi-location, franchise, or PE-backed agency experience
- Experience with EHR/EMR integration (Epic, Athenahealth) and offline conversion tracking (OCT)
- Background in BI/visualization tooling (Looker Studio, Domo, Tableau, Power BI)
- Prior experience standing up a HIPAA-compliant marketing data stack from scratch
